What data do we collect and for what purpose?
Personal data is automatically collected in server log files and in a statistics log. Data on the browser (type, version), the system (operating system, monitor resolution, colour depth), the referrer (previously visited page), the anonymised (shortened) IP address and the day and time of access are recorded. This information is of a purely technical nature and is used to measure the success of the offer and help to improve it. It is not possible to assign the data to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources, and the data is deleted after six months following a statistical evaluation.

Personal data is only collected via our website to the extent that you voluntarily submit it to us, for example in order to contact us or to take advantage of service offers (such as webinars or document downloads). Without your express consent, the personal data you provide will only be used for the purpose for which you provided us with your data.

Only with your express consent will your contact data be used to inform you about trends and events of SKOPOS VIEW for the purpose of self-promotion. You can object to the use of your data for advertising purposes at any time with future effect by sending an e-mail to info[at]skopos-view.de.

Cookies
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. Only cookies that do not collect personal data are used. For example, we use cookies to save the format of the document in the event of a document download.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Webchat via Userlike
This website uses live chat software from the company Userlike UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Deisterweg 7, 51109 Cologne, Germany. Userlike uses “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which enable a personal conversation in the form of a real-time chat on the website with you. The information about your use and related data of the live chat are collected, stored and processed on servers of Userlike in Germany. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Due to the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google guarantees that the data protection requirements of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

The Google Analytics service is used to analyse the usage behaviour of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.

Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, location, time or frequency of visits to our website, is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymisation function. This function enables Google to truncate the IP address within the EU or EEA.

The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of visits to our website and of the usage activities there. This data may also be used to provide other services related to the use of our website and the use of the internet.

Google states that it will not associate your IP address with any other data. In addition, Google keeps a record of your IP address at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners

Google also provides further information for you on data protection law, for example on the possibilities of preventing the use of data.

In addition, Google offers a website at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Google also offers a so-called deactivation add-on together with further information on this. This add-on can be installed with the usual Internet browsers and offers you further control over the data that Google collects when you call up our website. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that information about your visit to our website should not be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services. If and which other web analytics services are used by us, you will of course also find out in this privacy policy.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps on our website to display our location and to provide directions. This is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Due to the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google guarantees that the data protection requirements of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when you access our website.

If you call up the Google Maps component integrated into our website, Google will store a cookie on your terminal device via your internet browser. In order to display our location and create directions, your user settings and data are processed. We cannot exclude the possibility that Google uses servers in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in optimising the functionality of our website.

Through the connection to Google established in this way, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the directions are to be transmitted.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Details on this can be found above under the item “Cookies”.

In addition, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps is governed by the Google Terms of Use https://policies.google.com/terms?gl=DE&hl=de and the Terms and Conditions for Google Maps https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

In addition, Google offers a website at

https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

https://policies.google.com/privacy

for further information.

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts on our website to display external fonts. This is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Through certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (“EU-US Privacy Shield”)

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google guarantees that the data protection requirements of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when our website is accessed.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation and economic operation of our website.

The connection to Google established when you call up our website enables Google to determine which website sent your request and to which IP address the display of the font is to be transmitted.

Google offers at

https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

https://policies.google.com/privacy

for further information, in particular on the possibilities of preventing the use of data.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA on our website to check and prevent interactions on our website by automated access, e.g. by so-called bots. This is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Due to the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield, Google has the following rights

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google guarantees that the data protection requirements of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

This service enables Google to determine from which website a request is sent and from which IP address you use the so-called reCAPTCHA input box. In addition to your IP address, Google may also collect other information that is necessary for offering and guaranteeing this service.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the security of our website as well as in the defence against unwanted, automated access in the form of spam or similar.

Google offers a service at

https://policies.google.com/privacy

for further information on the general handling of your user data.

“Twitter” social plug-in

We use the plug-in of the social network Twitter on our website. Twitter is an Internet service provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, hereinafter referred to as “Twitter”.

Due to the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TORzAAO&status=Active

Twitter guarantees that the data protection requirements of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

If the plug-in is stored on one of the pages of our website that you visit, your internet browser downloads a representation of the plug-in from the servers of Twitter in the USA. For technical reasons, it is necessary for Twitter to process your IP address. In addition, the date and time of your visit to our website are also recorded.

If you are logged in to Twitter while visiting one of our websites with the plug-in, the information collected by the plug-in from your specific visit will be recognised by Twitter. Twitter may assign the information collected in this way to your personal user account there. If you use the so-called “Share” button from Twitter, for example, this information will be stored in your Twitter user account and possibly published via the Twitter platform. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of Twitter before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your Twitter user account.

Twitter provides further information on the collection and use of data as well as your rights and protection options in this regard in the privacy policy available at https://twitter.com/privacy

Google AdWords with conversion tracking

In our website, we use the advertising component Google AdWords and the so-called conversion tracking.

We use conversion tracking for the targeted advertising of our offer. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an ad placed by Google, the conversion tracking we use saves a cookie on your terminal device. These so-called conversion cookies lose their validity after 30 days and do not serve to identify you personally.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page of our website, both we and Google can evaluate the fact that you have clicked on one of our ads placed with Google and that you have subsequently been redirected to our website.

Google uses the information collected in this way to create statistics for us about visits to our website. In addition, this provides us with information about the number of users who clicked on our ad(s) and about the pages of our website that were subsequently accessed. However, neither we nor third parties who also use Google AdWords are able to identify you in this way.

You can also prevent or restrict the installation of cookies using the appropriate settings in your internet browser. At the same time, you can delete cookies already stored at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on the specific internet browser you use. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support.

Furthermore, Google also offers the following website

https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html

http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/

http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

Google also offers further information on this topic and in particular on the possibilities of preventing the use of data.

YouTube

We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal of YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to as “YouTube”.

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Through certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (“EU-US Privacy Shield”)

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google, and thus also its subsidiary YouTube, guarantees that the EU data protection requirements are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

We use YouTube in connection with the “extended data protection mode” function in order to be able to show you videos. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the “enhanced data protection mode” function means that the data described in more detail below is only transmitted to the YouTube server when you actually start a video.

Without this “extended data protection”, a connection to the YouTube server in the USA is established as soon as you call up one of our Internet pages on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is necessary in order to be able to display the respective video on our website via your internet browser. In the course of this, YouTube will at least record and process your IP address, the date and time as well as the website you visited. In addition, a connection to Google’s “DoubleClick” advertising network is established.

If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube will assign the connection information to your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.

For the purpose of functionality and to analyse user behaviour, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your end device via your internet browser. If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the storage of cookies by making a setting in your internet browser. You can find more information on this above under “Cookies”.

Google provides further information on the collection and use of data as well as your rights and protection options in this regard in the privacy policy published at

https://policies.google.com/privacy
